2020 MERCEDES-BENZ SPRINTER 416CDI
$122,500
We saw a lot of Sprinters on our lap and reason being they are super reliable. This vehicle did not miss a beat mechanically or within the living area. It is extremely comfortable and easy to drive. We kept a fuel log App and achieved great economy around (10l/100k). The vehicle has done around 57800kms at the time of writing. They are almost all “long k’s” ie not a lot of city driving. We bought the vehicle from another couple who also did the lap also without any problems.
There have been no mechanical issues at all and we have all the service records. The Winnebago living section was inspected by a professional before we bought the vehicle and this report is available to view. All service documentation comes with the vehicle.
The beds are very comfortable - we used the single bed configuration most of the time but the double is almost king size. The male owner is around 178cm tall and slept easily. The vehicle has a R/C air-conditioner, windows all round and a roof vent. There are block-out curtains all round as well.
New tyres were fitted in February 2024 and the tyres rotated halfway through the latest trip. They are still in great condition. The vehicle has had full Mercedes servicing with documentation. A new windscreen was fitted in September as we had a few stars after the trip.
The vehicle still has a warranty until November 2025 with Mercedes and full roadside service coverage – all with Mercedes.
It legally seats 4 people, front seats turn around for a full dining /card game setup or to watch TV. The front TV is set up for free-to-air and streaming with provision for all the usual apps. There is also a TV/DVD at the rear to avoid arguments. There is a great sound system for Bluetooth and CDs.
We travelled mainly on the bitumen but did take it along some gravel/unmade roads at a sensible pace. It handles everything with ease and we often camped off-grid.
It has a new 100A AGM house battery installed in July and recharges though solar, vehicle and 240v. The wind-out awning works well as does the door step. Lots of power outlets inside and out.
Kitchen and bathrooms are well fitted out and functional. Very effective HWS and an under-sink water filter. There is plenty of storage space and a tall pantry which we found very useful. There is a 75l fridge freezer, microwave and gas range & range hood. We bought a portable fridge/ freezer (12/240v) but didn’t need it however this is included in the sale.
The benefits of this vehicle, apart from the ease of driving and comfort, is that it can be parked in most shopping centres and streets. It is also often accepted into full caravan parks that might reject a car/caravan combo. Plus it is so easy to pull up anywhere and set up for an overnighter.
It has a tow ball and electric plug. We didn’t tow anything but the vehicle could legally pull a boat or small car/trailer subject to weight limits.
There is plenty of water capacity (78l) and grey water holding tank (55l). Lots of extras such as hoses, power leads and adapters. The vehicle is ready to go on holiday.
